I built a job board with no jobs.
No adverts either.

And it chats with you.
I retired from running a recruitment business after 50 years and thought that was that. But I still read the trade press every morning. Contract awards. Rig moves. Decommissioning campaigns. You never really stop reading it.
Three years ago I sat down and tried ChatGPT.
I asked it to write a poem. Everybody asks it to write a poem.
Then I got it to write a complaint letter to a furniture store that had delivered the wrong carpet . It was a very good letter. Firm, polite, and quietly threatening in all the right places. Better than the one I would have written, and I have written a few.
They still did not refund me. They gave me 15% off the carpet instead. A carpet so bad I eventually moved house so I would not have to look at it.
Not a complete success. But something had happened.
I am proud to wear a t-shirt that says I have ADHD. Fifty years of being interested in everything at once, which is either a diagnosis or a recruitment career depending on the day.
I tried launching an AI app that discovers undiagnosed illnesses. Then longevity. Then hydrogen startups. Then data privacy.
And then back to Oil & Gas again, because that is the one subject where I already know what a good answer looks like.
Because the job was always meeting people but I hated the boring stuff
I read over a million CVs in 30 years. Paper ones, before anybody had heard of an applicant tracking system, or the internet. When I wasnt reading CVs I was reading everything else, working out from a contract award who would need safety and integrity engineers in nine months.
